SALARY RANGE: $3,832 to $4,661 per month in five annual steps

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Early Education and
Expanded Learning and/or the Extended School Program Supervisor, performs a wide variety of complex and technical clerical work, may recruit and enroll children into District and State subsidized programs; serves as a liaison and provides information and services to low-income families and children.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
supplemented by courses in typing, use of a computer workstation, including peripheral
equipment; office operation procedures; and (2) two years of clerical experience including one year of experience involving record-keeping or records management.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
THE EXAMINATION: Candidates may be tested on knowledge of modern office practices,
procedures ,and equipment; Standard American English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; health and safety regulations; oral and written communication skills; recordkeeping requirements and procedures; telephone techniques and etiquette; as well as the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations accurately; use a computer work station effectively; read, understand, apply, and explain policies and rules.
