SALARY RANGE: $5,797/month to $7,797/month in five annual steps

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, maintains and
directs operational activities and performs journey-level mechanical repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and school buses, including diesel and gasoline operated, alternative fuel natural gas (CNG) and Liquid Propane gas (LPG) as well as grounds maintenance equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus three years of related experience and/or training; or five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of a variety of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession and maintenance of a valid California Bus Driver’s Certificate (class B, including air brakes) A license with a “P” (Passenger Transport Vehicle) is desired
Applicants will be tested on their subject matter expertise and must demonstrate
knowledge in local, state, and federal regulations; be able to understand and follow both oral and written instructions and have the ability to communicate effectively.
